I am the proud father of two children, Evi and Cruz, who inspire me daily. I was raised in the small town of Boston Bar, British Columbia, Canada. I am the son of an Italian immigrant, and this has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the values of hard work and resilience. Growing up within Indigenous communities, I feel fortunate to have been influenced by the teachings and values of Indigenous peoples, which have profoundly shaped my identity and professional journey.
With over 25 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, Classroom Teacher, and Principal, I have dedicated my life to cultivating relationships built on kindness, empathy, and trust. I believe in the power of leadership to make the world a better place. I have consistently focused on nurturing a positive impact in the lives of students, families, and educators. Currently, I am working for the Lower Nicola Indian Band, feeling proud and fortunate to be in the final stages of my career working alongside Indigenous people.
My journey reflects a steadfast commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding in education. My work has been guided by the principles of emotional intelligence, servant & relational leadership, and a growth mindset, which I integrate into every aspect of my life. As I continue to serve and uplift those around me, I do my best to remain humble about the path that has brought me to this point, where I am dedicated to making meaningful connections and advocating for a brighter future everyone in education.
